Kish is a astoundingly beautiful resort island located in the Persian Gulf. It is filled with numerous malls, impressive tourist attractions and attractive resort hotels. Kish was ranked among the world’s top 10 most beautiful islands by New York Times 2010
Along Kish’s coasts are outstanding coral reefs, great for snorkeling and scuba diving. With aqua blue waters and white sand beaches that will knock your socks off. It’s climate ranges from moderately hot to very hot, accompanied by relatively high humidity.
When I first arrived I felt like I was in Hawaii or the Bahamas. This exquisitely kept island with such a relaxed feel, made my trip a, trip to remember. Â The day we were about to leave, I felt so sad. I love this place, its paradise! Every year I must go back.
The people are so friendly and informative. Lots of fascinating attractions of history and endless amounts of great shopping, as Kish is a tax-free zone; making it a great place to shop. As well, the seafood is always fresh; with many options of great restaurants.
Some of the attractions I saw was, The Greek ship. It is located on the southwest coast of Kish. A wreck of a 1943 cargo steamship. It is such a awesome place for a beautiful sunset pic. It almost looks as though, it were a back drop! The ancient city of Harireh. The remains of this city date back to 1000 years ago. Located in the center of the northern coastline, it retells the existence of a very large and cultivated city. Only a few well structured arches and ceilings remain.
One of the most magnificent features of the island, The underground city/aqueduct or Kariz. Kariz was said to be built about 2500 years ago by inhabitants of Harireh city. The structure was built to collect, purify and store water by the inhabitants. The water was filtered by the many layers of different corals. After years of abandonment, architects decided instead of demolishing it, to restore and keep most of it’s ancient structures, which now can be seen by many tourists.
I promise you that once you visit Kish you won’t want to leave. It truly is a gorgeous island, leaving you feel calm and easy.
